Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Habit Warrior: Run & Habit ("the App", "we", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information. The App is developed by Rohan Krythos ("the Developer"). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. The App is not directed at children under 13.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
If you sign in with Google, sign in with Email, or use an anonymous Guest account, we collect a unique user ID and, when available, your Google name and email address, to identify your account and sync your progress across devices. A Guest account can later be linked to a Google or Email account without losing any data.
Habit & Progress Data
We store the habits you create, your streaks, XP, level, missions, badges, Warrior profile, and related progress, to provide the App's core features.
Subscription & Purchase Information
If you subscribe to Elite Pro, your purchase is processed entirely by Google Play Billing — we never see or store your card, bank, or other payment details. To activate and protect your subscription, we receive and store a Google Play purchase token and subscription status (active, expired, cancelled) linked to your account, verified against Google's Play Developer API by our backend (Google Cloud Functions). You can manage or cancel a subscription anytime from the Google Play Store.
Elite Trial, Referrals & Reward Tasks
The App offers ways to earn a temporary Elite Trial or in-app rewards without payment (e.g. War Path milestones, referrals, watching a rewarded ad, redeem codes). To prevent abuse of these free rewards, we may store your Android device identifier linked to your account. This identifier is used only for reward-abuse prevention, never for advertising or shared with third parties.
Location (GPS)
With your permission, the App accesses your device's GPS only while a running mission is active, to calculate distance, pace, duration, route, and leaderboard statistics. Your location is never sold or used for advertising.
Physical Activity & Motion Sensors
The App may read motion/activity sensors (step cadence, device orientation) during a run to improve distance accuracy and to distinguish running from other activities.
Camera & Photos
After completing a run, you can optionally attach a photo to your run's summary card — either by taking a new photo with your device's camera or choosing one from your gallery. This photo is processed and stored only on your device, used solely to create the summary image you choose to save or share, and is never uploaded to our servers.
Notifications
The App requests notification permission to deliver habit reminders, per-habit alarms, a daily morning summary of that day's habits, running-mission reminders, and reward alerts.
Alarm Data
Alarm and reminder schedules are stored locally on your device.
Leaderboard
If you take part in the leaderboard, your Warrior name, avatar, level, and running/habit statistics may be visible to other users.
Home-Screen Widget
The App offers an optional home-screen widget that shows today's habits and lets you mark them complete without opening the App. The widget only displays habit data already stored on your device or account — it does not collect, transmit, or create any information beyond what the App already has.
Device & Diagnostic Information
We may collect device model, Android version, app version, and crash/diagnostic logs, to improve performance and fix bugs.
Advertising
Free users may see ads served by Google AdMob. Elite Pro subscribers and users with an active Elite Trial do not see ads.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide habit tracking, alarms, reminders, and running features
- Synchronize your data across devices
- Process and verify Elite Pro subscription purchases via Google Play Billing
- Prevent abuse of free trials, referrals, and reward tasks
- Maintain leaderboard rankings
- Prevent cheating and fraudulent activity
- Improve app performance and stability
- Display ads to free-tier users
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Where Your Data Is Stored
Your data is stored locally on your device (an on-device database) and, where cloud sync applies, in Google Firebase Firestore. Subscription verification is performed by Google Cloud Functions on our behalf, communicating directly with Google's Play Developer API. Run photos and widget content never leave your device.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services, which may collect information as described in their own privacy policies:
- Google Firebase Authentication & Firestore — account sign-in and cloud sync. See Firebase's Privacy Policy.

- Google Play Billing — subscription purchases. See how Google Play works.
- Google AdMob — displays ads to free-tier users and may collect device identifiers (such as the Advertising ID) and usage data. See Google's Ads Policy.

5. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. Information is shared only with the Google services required to operate the App (including verifying purchases via Google Play), public leaderboard data you choose to share, or when required by law.
6. Your Rights
- Disable Location permission at any time, from Android Settings.
- Disable Notification permission at any time, from Android Settings.
- Remove the home-screen widget at any time, like any other Android widget.
- Manage or cancel your Elite Pro subscription anytime via the Google Play Store.
- Request deletion of your account and cloud data by contacting us below.
- Uninstall the App at any time, which removes all locally stored data.
7. Data Retention
Your data is retained while your account remains active or until you request deletion, unless required by law. Subscription purchase tokens are retained only as long as needed to verify and manage an active subscription and to detect fraudulent or duplicate purchases.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no system is completely secure.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the revised policy.
