This page explains how to permanently delete your AuraStep account and the data connected to it. AuraStep is developed by Rohan Krythos.
Option 1 — Delete inside the app (fastest)
- Open AuraStep and go to Settings.
- In the Account section tap Delete account (if you never signed in, the button is called Delete my data).
- Read the message and tap Continue.
- Confirm it is you: enter your password (email accounts) or choose your Google account (Google accounts).
- Your account and data are deleted and the App returns to the welcome screen.
You need an internet connection so the cloud copy can be deleted. If you are offline, the App tells you that nothing was removed and you can try again.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you can no longer open the App (for example it is uninstalled or you lost the phone), email us from the address linked to your account:
If you only ever used AuraStep without signing in, your backup is tied to a random anonymous ID that only your phone knows, so we cannot identify it from an email. Use Option 1 on the phone, or reinstall the App and use Delete my data.
What is deleted
- Your AuraStep (Firebase Authentication) account, including the email address and sign-in link.
- Your cloud backup in Cloud Firestore: profile (name, height, weight, age, gender, goal) and all daily step records (steps, distance, calories, active minutes).
- The same data stored on your phone (profile, history, tracking state and widget data).
What may remain, and for how long
- Aggregated, non-identifying analytics and crash reports held by Google Firebase follow Google's own retention periods and are not linked to your deleted account.
- Short-lived server backups and logs held by Google may take a limited time to be overwritten.
- Information we must keep to meet a legal obligation (we currently keep none for AuraStep).
Good to know
- Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
- Only want to leave the phone? Use Log out instead: your data stays safe in your account and you can restore it later.
- Uninstalling the App alone removes the data on the phone but not the cloud backup, so please delete the account first.
